WarmFörm featured in Fine Homebuilding “Pretty Good House” article

April 26, 2020 by Greg La Vardera Leave a Comment

The June/July 2020 issue of Fine Home Building magazine (#291)  had an article giving general advice on how to achieve what has been called a “Pretty Good House” – which amounts to adopting better building practices in support of better energy performance without adhering to stricter formalized evaluation criteria such as Passive House or Zero Energy. Of course this is a great application for WarmFörm. The article by Mike Maines shows the WarmFörm edge elements used with a single layer of center foam, and instead of the second and third layers a build of more stone in the middle of the slab. While this may take more labor and be a wash for hired sub-contractors, for self builders putting in sweat equity it is a legitimate way to reduce foam costs.

We are happy to see WarmFörm gaining this exposure as it is simply a smart way to build.  You can find the article online at the Fine Home Building web site (you may need to join the site to load it).
