WarmForm partner Scott Hedges was on site for this install, lending his experience with the system to the builder.
As this was an addition project with the WarmForm slab going up against a wood framed floor there were some special considerations. Its often not possible to put a standard WarmForm profile directly against a wood framed floor system because the back-fill requirements for the WarmForm would have soil above the top of the conventional foundation wall. The solution is in this case a step down to the addition floor level, which can be used to yield a higher ceiling in the addition. Its also possible to do a special order for a custom height WarmForm element.
Scott and I are going to create some media of installation tips based on his work here. He was using a diamond wheel in an angle grinder to make quick work of cutting through the cement face for trimmed pieces. Stay tuned for a video.
Completed slab, ready for walls to commence (after curing).
